AP Assembly session may be held in Gunturu


Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Government is preparing to conduct Assembly session at Nagarjuna University in Guntur. The six days

Assembly session is likely to be held in the second or third week of December in Gunturu. Sources said The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to prepare the university to host Assembly session. Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao is also likely to visit the university on Monday to review the arrangements.

 At the time of biffurcation old Assembly building has been allocated to Andhra Pradesh. Although the CM of AP can use the facilities in Hyderabad, the joint capital, for 10 years. The Government of AP is reportedly keen on shifting major activities to the areas around the Vijayawada-Guntur where new capital is being constructed.
