Telangana Assembly resolved Centres intervention on power crisis

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Legislative Assembly unanimously passed resolution seeking the intervention of the Centre to ensure that the Andhra Pradesh provide the new State its rightful share of  power, as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. Today the resolution was proposed by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao asking the Centre to direct the Andhra Pradesh Government to provide 53.89 per cent of the power from its projects to Telangana. He also requested the Centre to include Telangana in the 24 Hours Power for All scheme. Speaker Madhusudhana Chary then moved the resolution for voting and announced that it has been passed unanimously.
