 Modi appreciates digital technology for better policing
The police officers were quizzed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday via video conferencing regarding the usage of digital technology for better policing.dditional Commissioner of Police C.H. Pratap Reddy told media in Bengaluru that the minister sought details of the digital policing and the presentation was made by Cubbon Park police station inspector C. Balakrishna explaining the IT software they are using and features of it.

The interaction carried on for 30 minutes through the ICT-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and was the part of fifth interaction with one station each in Karnataka, Assam and Uttar Pradesh and Timely Implementation (Pragati) from the Prime Minister's Office in New Delhi.odi enquired about the various facilities such as Crime and criminal tracking Network and Systems scheme and asked technology can be used for providing citizen centric services in real time.

Smart policing and Digital India are the initiatives by the central government that were adopted at the Cubbon Park station in the city centre after PM has chosen it along with one in Guwahati and Lucknow to interact via video conference.
